They should demonstrate a commitment to creating an engaged, high-achieving learning space that empowers each student.Position: Special Education TeacherExperience Required: 3+ years, At least 3 years experience in a school setting as a special educatorWork Location: USAQualification : Must have B.Ed Degree in Special EducationScope of Work:Responsible for implementation of curricular objectives and policies as adopted by the Governing Board of the district and for carrying out policies of the Governing Board.Job Description:Plans, directs, supervises and evaluates the learning experiences of each assigned pupil within the context of the guidelines as written in the Special Education Handbook for the assigned Special Education areas and adopted by the Governing Board.Provides for development of desirable attitudes, values and self-understanding.Maintains records for pupil accounting as designated by State law and supported by the Governing Board.Assumes a reasonable amount of co-curricular and other duties as allowed by law and supported by the building staff, principal, director and Governing Board.Reports adequately to the parent the progress and adjustment of each pupil and interprets the school program to parents.Provides for the reasonable care and instruction of proper usage of school property and maintains current Special Education inventory charged to his responsibility.Cooperates and participates in planning and evaluating the Special Education program and its relationship to the regular program.Observes established lines of communication.Maintains appropriate control and develops a suitable learning environment in the classroom.
