The candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a world-class strategy for the Sports Physiotherapy department that will align to the IIS mission of the home present and future Indian Olympic champions. With its main campus in Vijayanagar, Karnataka, and satellite centers in Hisar (Haryana), Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Odisha, IIS integrates state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge sports science, and top-tier coaching expertise from around the globe to support India’s athletes in their pursuit of excellence.Responsibilities:Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership to the Sports Physiotherapy Team.Direct and manage work assignments for the Sports Physiotherapy Department Carry a specialist caseload and work with team members to assess, plan and implement appropriate rehabilitation programmes.Plan, implement, evaluate, treat, and progress patient care to maximize rehabilitation potential efficiently and independently.Establish and contribute to the delivery of high quality and effective physiotherapy provision to Junior and Senior athletes.Facilitate timely rehabilitation for injured athletes, monitor recovery plans and return to sport outcomes consistent with evidence established protocols.Maintain comprehensive electronic medical records and, respecting individual athlete confidentiality, share appropriate levels of information with performance staff (utilizing central database) in a timely manner.Facilitate a multi-disciplinary team approach to injury management and prevention.Education/Qualifications/Experience:Master’s degree in Sports Physiotherapy.Minimum of 7 years’ experience in high-performance sport across various sports or levels of the athlete pathway.Evidence of deep knowledge of athlete screening, injury profiling and injury management pathways within an elite athlete population Experience using a Data Management/Athlete Management System for efficient and safe storage of information Working in a recognized sports and/or high-performance institute environment within a multi-disciplinary team To apply for this position please email Samuel.pullinger@ with a CV and cover letter by 15th of February 2024.
