What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications): 5 or more years of hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer or DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer. Basic understanding of system design and architecture patterns in the cloud. Strong knowledge and experience on IAC tools like terraform or cloud formation. Experience with production support and on call rotation. Experience supporting critical customer facing applications or websites. Expertise on standard networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, ECMP, TCP/IP, ICMP, the OSI Model, Subnetting and Load Balancing strategies. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Able to maintain the deployment architecture on Kubernetes ecosystem on AWS cloud, using modern CICD solutions Able to maintain applications deployed on a container-based orchestration system, along with the cloud infrastructure components being used viz Akamai, AWS API Gateway, and RedHat OpenShift Service on AWS (aka ROSA), etc. Experience working with development teams to evaluate the health, stability and reliability of applications leveraging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch. Strong background using tools like PagerDuty, and ServiceNow for managing incidents. Experience in serverless Application Frameworks as AWS Lambda. Experience in containerized workloads and management platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes. Experience with distributed systems is a plus including Microservices. Experience in Infrastructure automation tools specifically CDK, Terraforms, CloudFormation Templates. Understanding of CI/CD processes and experience with deployment automation tools such as Gitlab CI/CD, Code Pipeline, Code Deploy, Jenkins, Tekton. Effective communication, collaboration & negotiation skills with the ability to interface with various business units and third parties.
