With a focus on affordability, superior quality, and customer-first service, we’re known for delivering durable, well-designed housing solutions tailored to client needs.Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our construction projects remotely. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from scheduling and logistics management to defect rectification and client communication. This is a full-time, work-from-home position that requires exceptional organizational and leadership skills to manage multiple sites and teams simultaneously.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & SchedulingCreate and manage detailed project schedules to ensure construction milestones are met.Coordinate and assign tasks to team members, contractors, and vendors, ensuring seamless communication and task execution.Manage site logistics, procurement, and delivery timelines to prevent project delays.Construction Site ManagementOversee multiple construction sites remotely, ensuring that work progresses according to the project schedule and quality standards.Perform virtual inspections, manage site resources, and resolve day-to-day issues.Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with NSW building regulations.Defect ManagementIdentify, document, and rectify construction defects promptly to ensure high-quality project outcomes.Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently and maintain client satisfaction.Expediting & Logistics ManagementOversee the procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites.Liaise with suppliers and vendors to mitigate potential delays in supply chain processes.Track project inventory and ensure materials meet project specifications.Inspection & ComplianceConduct virtual and on-site inspections to ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.Ensure that project documentation, including permits and certifications, is accurate and up to date.Team Leadership & CollaborationManage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and contractors.Monitor team performance and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Client CommunicationAct as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them updated on project progress and addressing concerns promptly.Deliver professional, clear, and timely communication to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.Risk Management & Problem-SolvingIdentify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.Troubleshoot and resolve conflicts or delays with practical, client-focused solutions.Reporting & DocumentationMaintain detailed project reports, including progress updates, budget tracking, and timelines.Prepare regular status updates for senior management.Construction Material Management Skills Key Qualifications & SkillsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (required).PMP, PRINCE2 certification, or Master’s degree in Project Management Experience:Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in construction project management, including scheduling, site management, and defect resolution, with a reputable construction firm.Extensive knowledge of housing construction processes, including compliance with NSW building regulations.Skills:Proven expertise in expediting and logistics management.Strong inspection and quality control skills.Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work independently and manage remote teams effectively.Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, or similar).Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients, teams, and contractors.Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to handle challenges promptly.What We OfferCompetitive salary package.Full-time remote work with flexible and supportive management.Opportunity to lead diverse and challenging construction projects.Collaborative work environment within a growing, client-focused company.Professional growth and career advancement opportunities.How to ApplyIf you’re ready to bring your expertise in construction project management to Granny Flats X, apply now!Send your resume and cover letter to info@.au with the subject line: “Application – Project Manager Construction (Housing)”Join Granny Flats X and lead the future of granny flat construction with a company that values quality, innovation, and teamwork!
