Job Description

Role Title: Manager – EHS Department: Sales Location: Gurgaon Total Number of Reportees: NA Primary Purpose of Role: To drive the culture change within the function by localisation of Carlsberg Group Safety Culture to the India sales team. Key Decision Making in this Role: 1. Managing H&S and Excellence aspects for the CIPL sales function 2. Implementation of the H&S policy 3. Provide H&S training to teams 4. Ensure audits, review and technical queries are being resolved and supporting closures involving key stake holders. 5. Periodic evaluation and MIS reporting on H&S excellence indicators. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities: People Management: • Key role in ensuring compliance to H&S within the India Sales team • Supports developing Country HR Policies and Processes • Advise Senior Leadership team • Facilitates Managers and employees training and development (awareness, behavior) in H&S Process Management • Advise and support the region Leadership teams on all H&S issues within their areas of responsibility (including accidents investigations, risk assessments, corrective actions, documentation, follow up and execution of actions) • Monitor, Report, Track and ensure legal compliance for the team • Follow-up on decisions made by the superior and ensure proper execution • Focus on India commercial H&S performance improvement plan • Regular review of H&S performances against goals to ensure that progress is being made and corrective actions are taken • Organization of workflows, documentation and records related to H&S • Organization, execution, and evaluation of EHS related inspections and audits • Continuous analysis of deviations and initialization of preventive or corrective actions and improvements related to H&S aspects Performance Management • Responsible for setting H&S KPIs for the sales team in line with Country targets • Ensure H&S KPIs are implicitly understood and managed efficiently at an appropriate level (leading & lagging performance indicators) • Responsible for H&S data reporting at the Country level for Sales team • Initiate and Lead region H&S performance reviews , identify trends, in order to identify critical gaps and develop effective & efficient actions for continuous improvement, and participate in problem solving activities Functional Specific Management • Conduct field observations, inspections, coaching and guidance, 25% of time minimum in the field • Set up timely training interventions, surveys – planned H&S training calendar • Coordinate for Online and Practical Safe Driving training in line with Regional/ Group Expectations • Supports local Management teams liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure their compliance with local systems • Responsible to manage H&S audits / Statutory Compliance • Share significant incidents and lessons learned, share expertise , participate in cross audits • Advises and is a member of the local Emergency Response Team in case of critical or serious H&S incident • Proactively aligns self and team towards the agreed priorities • Actively promotes ''one - team'' spirit and collaboration across functions • Detects and encourages talent and coaches towards for company targets • Takes into account details and big picture when solving problems • Communicates clear objectives and rigorously tracks their delivery • Plans effectively, sets priorities and puts ideas into practice • Seizes opportunities, embraces and drives change • Seeks, shares and utilizes best practices Key Challenges in Achieving Goal(s): (What are the key challenges faced by this role in meeting its goals/objectives) 1. Analytical & Problem-solving skills Qualifications and Experience: B. Tech (in any Discipline) & Diploma in Health & Safety Hands on experience for ISO systems. Experience: Any Special Skill 7 – 10 years of experience either from FMCG / Pharma / Consulting with above mentioned exposure.
