Key Responsibilities Conduct HSE pre-screening of new accounts and advise business on way forward Conducting audits and inspections as per planner, line management assisted to develop corrective action plans; and completion of the plans tracked Planning & execution of Business Continuity Planning • Provide support for bids and tenders communicate and motivate safety at all levels Leading campaigns: Achieve safety improvement plan, LTIR, FAC rates. Implemented HSMS & FSMS system by committee making & leading. Preparing manuals & rule books Project management- Risk mapping, LOP & due-diligence analyze Food Safety and H&S hazards for a safe start-upHIRA, BCP, ERP, Crisis management, JSA Providing training on safety policies, procedures, loss prevention, fire safety, WAH, PTW, LOTO, TBT, BBS and emergency preparedness Responsible for third party audits: ISO 22001, ISO 45001, EMS, HACCP Incident Investigations- shepherding an in-depth Life safety cases & Food Incidents investigation. Preparing CAPA, RCA and ensuring timely closures of agreed actions. Vendor audits and training, Liaison with consultants, SME’s, certifying agency Statistics- Preparing HSE statistics, MIS, Designing Safety training modules/Memo/Circular/Newsletter/Bulletins on safety related programs, Safety, Induction Training Special PPE Creates a world-class HSE culture by utilizing best practices and a progressive approach to successful functional improvement throughout our regional operations Assist in creating a high performance HSE organization by supporting corporate HSE goals and business initiatives Provides regulatory and technical guidance to senior management, operations personnel, and regional specific input to HSE team Establishes and leads a regional HSE group to identify and address common issues to all regional facilities ensuring a standard approach to the implementation of corrective actions. Provides functional leadership and guidance to local facility HSE Coordinators and Specialists. Actively takes lead role for the development of local HSE Coordinators/Specialists to ensure an appropriate level of knowledge and skills to deliver HSE objectives and business value. Assists in the deployment of corporate HSE policies and procedures to establish a standardized approach to risk reduction Leads the regional audit program and ensure that key metrics related to the program are tracked and reported and issues resolved in a satisfactory manner. Develops, communicates, implements, and maintains HSE management systems based on ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards to ensure all global regulatory standards are met or exceeded. Takes the lead role in incident and crisis management for HSE incidents. Ensures that Company-wide HSE statistical data and key performance indicators are collected and accurately reported to local management and corporate HSE. Participates as a key member of the global HSE leadership team and a key contributor to achieving overall HSE goals and objectives. Evaluate the potential impact of local emerging regulatory issues as they apply to company business and locations and translate these requirements into effective policies and practices. Participate with affected groups in resolution. Provide guidance for, and support, HSE work, if required, for local divestiture and/or acquisition. Performs or participates in special projects as assigned by the company directors, or other Managers as requested. Key Requirements Degree from an accredited institution in a health and safety related discipline that includes some formal safety component OR Degree/Masters in food science & technology. NEBOSH, Diploma or Post Graduation in OSH from CLI OR RLI or B. E/ B.Tech/ Diploma with PDIS will be an added advantage • Should be conversant with FSSAI rules & regulations. 10+ years of progressive health, safety, and environmental leadership experience in a service industry in implementing safety systems, policies and procedures changing a safety culture developing and leading teams o safety auditing / inspecting o training Job requires 80 % of time in travelling across the country. Must be self-organized and flexible to travel. Efficient communicator and aggressive implementor and quick learner with no ego status Requires a high level of technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations with the ability to define and analyse problems and contribute to solutions Must be fluent in English. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must have ability to communicate through all levels of the organization and with multinational personnel from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Ability to communicate to organization leadership on compliance issues and risks to the corporation in an effective manner to aid decision-making Excellent organizational skills required to direct and facilitate meetings and make presentations. Strong leadership skills. Ability to influence and lead teams. Must have a demonstrated track record of successfully executing complex, multidisciplinary projects and assignments, and assuming accountability for results. Must have the ability to prioritize in a challenging environment of competing needs and expectations.
