Role Overview : The Vice Principal is a key leadership position responsible for supporting the Principal in overseeing the academic, administrative, operational, and compliance functions of the school. The role emphasizes driving student achievement, fostering a positive school culture, ensuring effective teacher performance, and enhancing parental engagement while focusing on the holistic development of students and adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership: ● Collaborate with the Principal to develop and implement the academic vision of the school. ● Oversee curriculum planning and ensure its alignment with educational standards. ● Monitor and enhance teaching practices to improve learning outcomes. ● Analyze student performance data to identify gaps and implement improvement strategies. Teacher and Staff Management: ● Mentor and support teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and professional development. ● Conductregular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback. ● Lead staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions to ensure continuous improvement. ● Handle teacher scheduling, leave management, and ensure optimal resource utilization. Student Development: ● Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students. ● Lead initiatives to improve student engagement, attendance, and academic achievement. ● Oversee co-curricular and extracurricular activities to encourage holistic development. ● Address disciplinary issues promptly, maintaining fairness and consistency. Parental Engagement: ● Build strong relationships with parents, ensuring open and effective communication. ● Conduct parent meetings, orientations, and workshops to involve them in their child's education. ● Address parental concerns and ensure promptresolution. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: ● Ensure the school adheres to all government and board regulations, including safety, health, and academic standards. ● Maintain accurate records and documentation required for audits, inspections, and reports. ● Oversee implementation of policies related to child protection, data security, and privacy. ● Ensure compliance with employment laws, child laborlaws, and education board requirements. ● Develop and update school policies to reectregulatory changes and best practices. ● Liaise with external authorities, accreditation bodies, and legal consultants as needed. Administrative Duties: ● Assist in school operations, including admissions, budgeting, and staff recruitment. ● Coordinate with the Principal to prepare reports for the school management. ● Oversee facilities management to ensure a safe and efficient learning environment.
