As a Senior Engineer at TJX India, you will work with a team that partners with the Stores & Selling Product management team and delivers products for multiple teams using data from our over 5,000 stores worldwide. Key Responsibilities: Implement scalable solutions that align with data governance standards and architectural standards for data integrations, storage, reporting, and analytics. Resolve the issues assigned to the team by analyzing the flow of solutions, or by performing the data analysis when the issues are about the data itself. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with all organizational levels to drive results. Partner with key stakeholders and IT leaders to deliver solutions that meet business needs. Leverage extensive expertise in the following areas: Data profiling: Examine and analyze data from a variety of sources to know the data grain, data type, data structure, and data quality. Pay particular attention to identifying any data issues like inconsistencies and missing values in the early profiling stage. Data modeling: Based on business requirements, design the structured data in tables and views with multiple entity relationships to produce the most efficient database performance, or the semi-structured data in JSON, XML, or unstructured data in documents such as text, email, etc. Data warehousing: Manage data from multiple sources and make them available for querying and analysis directly by the database users or indirectly via Business Intelligence tools. Perform strongly in designing and building the data integration through ETL or ELT process using Talend Studio, Azure Data Factory, or any similar ETL or ELT tools. Deliver complete automation of data pipeline from source to target systems by utilizing scheduling tools like Control-M in addition to data integration solutions. DevSecOps practice in CI/CD pipeline: Throughout the development, testing, and deployment, utilize the SCM (source code management) tool like GitHub to track and manage the source code changes with its version control and team collaboration. Identify and grant the necessary access roles to any developed objects to comply with TJX security standards and produce errorless high-quality solutions by thorough debugging and testing by collaborating with QC teammates. Lead production deployments successfully by clarifying the production deployment steps with DevOps tools that production admin teams under EDA (Enterprise Data & Analytics) department accept. Cloud computing platform: Among a wide range of services on Microsoft Azure, utilize scalable and secure storage like ADLS (Azure Data Lake Storage) and Azure SQL Database, Azure Function, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or any similar major cloud providers like GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or Snowflake. Computer programming: Proficiently write SQL considering efficiency of processing. Understand and be able to revise existing Python and Java codes. Understand Linux server and be able to write frequently utilized Linux commands to operate common tasks related to Talend solution deployed to Talend servers. Communication: Be able to explain a complicated technical concept in plain English to junior engineers, and document any technical design and helpful procedures for the team. Suggest any improvement in technical or administrative areas. What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications): Over five years of engineering experience in Data and Analytics, focusing on scalable data solutions. Over five years of experience with Talend Data Integration or any similar ETL tools like SSIS, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory. Over five years of experience working with any RDBMS (Relational Database Management System), preferably Snowflake or any similar RDBMS like SQL Server or Oracle. Over three years of experience working in Agile and Scrum frameworks. Over three years of programming in SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, Python, or Java. Over two years of experience in creating test plans, strategies, test cases, and test scripts for data systems. Over two years of experience in utilizing Cloud Platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS. Over two years of experience in utilizing DevOps (CI/CD automation) tools like Jenkins, JFrog, GitHub, or Azure DevOps. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or any similar STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) majors. Experience in building end-to-end enterprise analytics solutions leveraging Azure cloud architecture. Experience in data and information management as it relates to enterprise data and analytics. Experience in designing and building Stored Procedures and Functions in SQL. Experience in NoSQL databases like Azure Cosmos DB. Experience in utilizing Python API like PySpark in Databricks to handle increasing data volume and complexity.
