Knowledge of the Matriculation Syllabus• Principal should have an in-depth understanding of the Tamil Nadu State Board Matriculation syllabus. The Principal should be familiar with the curriculum guidelines, subjects offered, and the examination system, ensuring that teachers effectively implement the syllabus.2. Leadership and Administrative Skills• Strong leadership is essential to manage a large team of teachers and staff, and to maintain discipline and a positive atmosphere in the school. The principal should also possess strong administrative skills to manage resources, schedules, and oversee daily operations.3. Effective Communication• The principal must have clear and effective communication skills to interact with students, teachers, parents, and educational authorities. Since it is English medium school we expect that the principal should be good at English. Communication is also key in conveying the school’s vision and goals, and handling issues promptly.4. Student-Centered Approach• A Matriculation School Principal should prioritize the well-being and development of students. The principal should focus on holistic education, ensuring students excel academically and are also supported emotionally and socially.5. Commitment to Academic Excellence• The principal should be committed to high academic standards and should inspire teachers to engage students through innovative teaching methods. The principal should ensure that students are prepared well for the Matriculation exams.6. Support for Teachers’ Professional Development• A good principal encourages continuous learning and development for teachers. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that reflects Catholic values while embracing diversity.Qualifications and Experience:A Master’s degree in Education or a related field. At least 10 years of teaching experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a middle or senior administrative role. Comprehensive understanding of the matriculation curriculum and its implementation.Key Attributes:Passion for education and a vision for school growth.
