Responsibilities - Strong capabilities of literature search, understanding and selecting most appropriate and scalable process for phyto-actives. Execute lab experiments to convert herbal extracts into enriched cosmeceutical/ nutraceutical actives Create and oversee extraction strategy, including sourcing of equipment and materials. Mentor and trains Extraction team on standard processes and operating procedures Conduct scale up studies. Standardization of extract with HPLC, HPTLC and other methods Conduct analytical and stability studies to strengthen product portfolio. Cost effective extract development as per market and customer demand. Knowledge of herbal extracts specification including limits of residual solvents, microbial, pesticides etc. Food Application : Build Natural Anti-oxidant based application product against TBHQ,BHA, BHT Cosmetics Application : Coordinate with external agencies for Trials in cosmetics formulations Nutraceuticals : Coordinate for Animal study, Human Study , Clinical Trials for specific Indication with external agencies. Animal Feed : Coordinate with Research team of Animal feed industry for product development Work on Grapes Anthocyanin & Resveratrol Explore potential value from our other Bio-Waste – Tomato, Mango, Citrus, Sweet Corn, Algae etc Key Competencies Herbal extractions & enrichments to active ingredients at lab & pilot plant scale Phytochemical characterization of extracts Qualitative and quantitative standardization (HPLC, HPTLC, titration, gravimetric etc).
