Senior Software Engineer (Python/Backend) Experience Range: 4-8 years The Opportunity As a Senior Software Engineer (Python/Backend), you’ll play a critical role in architecting and scaling our core platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Data Science, Frontend, and Product—to integrate advanced AI models, build reliable microservices, and ensure a seamless experience for our global clientele. What You’ll Do Backend Development Design, build, and maintain Python-based microservices/APIs that are robust, secure, and scalable. Database Management Develop and optimize SQL/NoSQL data solutions for high performance and reliability. Real-Time Communication Implement WebRTC or similar protocols to enable low-latency, AI-enhanced workflows. CI/CD & DevOps Establish and refine CI/CD pipelines to accelerate releases. Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure). Quality & Mentorship Write clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Frontend Engineers to bring AI models and new features to production. What We’re Looking For Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of experience in Python backend development (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.). Technical Must-Haves Expertise in designing and managing scalable microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs. Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with WebRTC or other real-time communication technologies. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.). Soft Skills Startup Mindset: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to fast changes. Communication: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly in both verbal and written form. Collaboration: Eager to work cross-functionally, share insights, and learn from others. Bonus Points Experience integrating ML models into production services. Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka) or serverless frameworks.
