We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist with expertise in Steel Castings to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of Steel castings, ensuring high-quality standards, timely delivery, and cost-effective purchasing. This role requires strong supplier management, industry knowledge, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of castings (metal, sand, investment, etc.) based on quality, cost, and lead-time. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure continuous supply. Monitor supplier performance, resolve any supply chain issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Manage the end-to-end procurement process for casting materials, including issuing purchase orders, tracking order status, and managing the procurement cycle. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of castings while meeting required quality and performance standards. Monitor inventory levels of castings and anticipate future requirements to prevent production delays. Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure castings meet company specifications and industry standards. Resolve any quality issues or discrepancies related to casting orders. Manage procurement budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings. Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to casting materials. Collaborate with the production, engineering, and logistics teams to understand casting requirements and optimize the procurement process. Participate in meetings to discuss project timelines, production schedules, and potential challenges related to casting procurement. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Proven experience in procurement, specifically with steel castings Strong understanding of casting processes, materials, and quality standards. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work with diverse suppliers. Proficient in SAP and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
