JOB TITLE: Operations Manager - Upstream Oil and Gas Industry KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Functional head of the site-based production team, with overall responsibility for safe effective production operations and all departments under direct leadership during the absence of the Operations Manager- including: HSSE, Production, Maintenance, Production Optimization & Support ServicesInterface with the client representative on the provision of operations servicesDevelop, plan, manage & enhance safe efficient production processing, well / facilities operations, maintenance and supporting servicesEnsure operations services meet all contractual, legislation, regulatory, quality assurance, environmental and verification requirementsBuild and develop Operations & Maintenance organizational capability through excellent cross discipline communication, team building and motivation, skills development and competence management.Manage all necessary strategic activities to enhance and support Operations and Maintenance through continuous improvement of designated Operations Management System, (OMS).Support, supervise, coordinate and manage the team leads in the day-to-day functioning of operationsDevelop appropriate operating strategies and policies for the facilitiesSupervise and manage the team heads in the execution of the respective budgetsProvide assurance that the facilities are operated and maintained in accordance with Petrofac policies, regulatory compliance and good operating practiceMonitor and manage facility performance to meet Petrofac Asset Integrity standardsDevelop, manage and report Key Performance Indicators to ensure target delivery in the key business areas of: HSSEIA; Production; and BudgetManage 3rd party interfaces such as, contractors, partners and other organizations on site as requiredLead teams to develop a safety-oriented sharing and learning culture, and apply best practice for continuous improvement of the operationsResponsible for the Integrated Planning Process to ensure efficient planning and execution of all activities on the assetPerformance of emergency response duties and tasks as defined in the Company’s Incident Management ProceduresApply Incident Management tools and techniques to: Evaluate situations and anticipate needs, maintain communications, Delegate activities to those most suited to deal with them, Recognize and deal with stress in the response teamESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:Over 18+ years industry experience in a range of technical, supervisory and management roles in an onshore or offshore hydrocarbon gas processing environment.Direct operational experience required with commissioning experience desirableProfessional qualification within an engineering disciplineExperience working within a Safety Case or COMAH regimePerform in an emergency response role as defined by the Incident Management ProceduresDemonstrable track record delivering safety performance, production targets, operating budgets and management of asset integrity Excellent written and oral English is essential, supported by good report writing ability
