Job Title: Project Purchase Executive Department: Procurement & Supply Chain Management Location: Trichy Reporting To: Incharge Job Summary: The Project Purchase Executive/Manager is responsible for the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for hospital infrastructure and expansion projects. The role involves vendor management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of project-related supplies while adhering to hospital policies and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies for hospital infrastructure and capital expenditure projects. Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors, suppliers, and contractors for project-related purchases. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost-effective procurement without compromising quality. Ensure procurement processes align with hospital policies, budget constraints, and compliance standards. Collaborate with project teams, architects, and engineers to assess material requirements and specifications. Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance to avoid project delays. Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve any disputes or issues efficiently. Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and documentation as per hospital finance guidelines. Stay updated with market trends, new product innovations, and cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in hospital procurement. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certification in procurement (CPSM, CIPS) is preferred. Experience: 3-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in hospital or healthcare infrastructure projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Office Suite. Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Knowledge: Understanding of hospital equipment, construction materials, regulatory standards, and vendor management best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing procurement for hospital projects, including civil, electrical or MEP. Knowledge of hospital procurement policies and healthcare compliance standards. Ability to handle multiple projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
