Jindal Global University Location : Sonipat, Haryana Job Type : Full-Time Department Role : The department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of infrastructure across the university's 100-acre campus. This includes managing a range of critical systems such as a 10MW, 33kV substation, transformers, HT and LT panels, HT and LT DGs, UPS systems (3000 kVA), and over 500KW of solar power systems. The department also oversees cooling systems (8000 TR capacity) comprising water-cooled, air-cooled, and gas-based chillers, as well as HVAC and water supply systems. Additionally, it manages a 70KL water system, including a 35KL RO system, a soft water system, and a 2000 KLD sewage treatment plant (STP). The role ensures that all infrastructure is operational and effectively supports a campus of 14,000+ students and 2,500+ employees. The department is also responsible for non-academic compliance, retrofitting classrooms and offices, civil maintenance (painting, carpentry, glasswork), and transitioning new hostel and academic buildings from project completion to operational status. Additionally, coordination with government agencies is essential for licensing and compliance renewals, including the organization of VIP visits and meeting arrangements. The department ensures that 24x7 fire fighting and detection systems are operational and compliant, and all necessary licenses for fire, electrical, STP, and water systems are renewed in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities : Manage WTP, RO, and softener systems for multiple uses. Oversee the maintenance and operation of the wastewater treatment plant, including the recycling of treated water for irrigation, flushing, and HVAC systems. Maintain the rainwater harvesting systems, ensuring their functionality before and after the monsoon season. Ensure proper maintenance of the flagpole mechanism. Manage all infrastructure-related projects, including preparation of BOQs, budget estimates, execution, and quality completion. Oversee Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and the plumbing system across the campus. Prepare budgets for PHE systems and manage stock inventories to ensure smooth operation. Work closely with the purchase team and external vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and project work.
