Position Overview: Purplle started out as a retailing business and is now in the 12th year of operations. While we continue to build a robust and engaging platform for shopping beauty, 6 years ago we also started creating products and brands of our own. What started as a small experiment via 2 brands (PB - Private Brands) has spawned into a portfolio of 10 fast growing brands with 1000s of SKUs contributing to a significant part of Purplle’s revenues today. As we race ahead on this path to building exciting, digital first, D2C brands supported by the solid distribution of ; We are currently looking to strengthen the PB sourcing pillar in our supply chain process This role will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the sourcing and production of finished goods across our manufacturing network. This role is essential in ensuring that manufacturing plans are effectively executed, daily production is monitored, and performance is continuously improved to meet operational and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, supply chain expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiency, quality, and alignment with business goals. Key Responsibilities: Demand and Capacity Planning Analyze manufacturing demand to determine production requirements across all factories. Manufacturing Plan Finalization Finalize production plans to align with business objectives and operational feasibility. Effectively communicate finalized plans to key stakeholders, including Factory Operations and Procurement teams. Daily Production Oversight Review and monitor daily production plans from each factory to ensure alignment with overall schedules and supply chain objectives. Address deviations in daily production plans proactively. Performance Tracking and Reporting Consolidate and analyze daily manufacturing reports from all factories to provide actionable insights. Quality and Compliance Ensure production processes meet company quality standards and adhere to regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to resolve defects and maintain product integrity. Issue Resolution and Continuous Improvement Implement corrective actions and propose process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Capacity and Resource Optimization Adjust source allocations to optimize factory capacities and transportation lanes. Recommend resource reallocation during peak demand periods to maintain smooth operations. Key Skills : Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of demand and capacity planning techniques is a plus. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel. Analytical and Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving production and sourcing issues. Project and Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels. Education and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field. 4-8 years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, or related supply chain functions
