About the Job Position: Head – Child Protection and Mental Health Program The Butterflies' Child Protection and Mental Health Program aims to empower children, families, communities, and schools by enhancing their knowledge and skills to foster a supportive environment for children and adolescents. This program focuses on improving the mental health and emotional well-being of children and adolescents by addressing the issues and factors impacting their emotional well-being. The program also offers therapeutic support to children and families facing mental health challenges and actively works to generate knowledge, evidence, and discourse on the subject. Butterflies is seeking a candidate to lead this important program. Major Roles and Responsibilities • Provides strategic leadership to the child protection and mental health program by developing well defined conceptual framework and strategic vision and direction to the program. • Programme development with clear goals and objectives, outcomes and monitoring and evaluation framework and implementation, monitoring and evaluation. • Design, develop research plans and proposals on area of child protection and mental health issues and come up with research plans and proposals. • Document good practices and bring out case studies and other documents (article, papers, presentations, stories of changes, etc.) on the subject, children, and children’s issues. • Take advocacy initiatives to make the mental health of children and adolescents as a public health issue which should be informed by the experiences and evidence. • Design training workshops on child protection, mental health with children, adolescents, parents, and other agencies conduct training, measure outcomes using scientific tools. • Identify and develop partnership with funding agencies, develop concept notes and submit the application for mobilizing resources for the program. • Supervise the team and provide clear direction, make efforts to develop their skills, knowledge, and competencies. Work Experience • The candidate should have at least three years of demonstrated working experience of managing programs with children and adolescents, program design, development, implementation. Candidates with less than three years will not be considered. • S/he should demonstrate theoretical knowledge on mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and adolescents, therapeutic approaches, and strategies for supporting children for addressing issues affecting their mental health wellbeing. Qualifications The candidate should be master’s in social work with specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work. Remuneration Rupees 7,80,000 to 8,40,000 CTC per annum depending on the experience and competency of the candidate.
