JD for Abacus Architect: Job Title: Architect – Avolution ABACUS for Automotive Industry Description: We are seeking an experienced Architect with expertise in Avolution ABACUS, SysML, and systems integration for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in defining, developing, and managing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) solutions and integrating ABACUS with other tools to support enterprise architecture and system design. Key Responsibilities •Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE): Develop and maintain SysML models to support automotive systems architecture, design, and analysis. •Enterprise Architecture with ABACUS: Utilize Avolution ABACUS to create, analyze, and manage enterprise architecture models and frameworks tailored for automotive projects. •Tool Integration: Design and implement integration workflows between ABACUS and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Codebeamer, SmartFacts, and other engineering platforms using OSLC or custom APIs. •Requirements Management: Ensure traceability between requirements, architecture models, and design elements, aligning with industry standards like ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR. •Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement automated solutions to improve system development lifecycles. •Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, IT, and business teams to translate high-level goals into actionable architecture and design strategies. •Documentation and Training: Prepare comprehensive documentation and deliver training to teams on best practices for ABACUS and SysML usage. Qualifications Required: •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. •Proven experience with Avolution ABACUS in an enterprise or automotive environment. •Strong proficiency in SysML, including tools like Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architect. •Hands-on experience with tool integration using OSLC, REST APIs, or custom scripts. •Solid understanding of automotive industry standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and AUTOSAR. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. •Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred: •Experience with Codebeamer, DOORS, or other requirements management tools. •Familiarity with SmartFacts and its role in architecture and system validation. •Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman. •Exposure to Agile or SAFe methodologies.
