Position: Optometrist Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry Experience - Min 8 years Key Responsibilities: 1. Primary Eye Care Conducting thorough eye exams to assess vision and diagnose refractive errors. Prescribing corrective lenses for patients with vision impairments. 2. Management of Eye Diseases Diagnosing and managing conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Collaborating with ophthalmologists for advanced care and treatment of chronic eye conditions. 3. Emergency Eye Care Providing treatment for acute eye injuries, infections, or sudden vision loss. Offering urgent referrals for specialized surgical or advanced care. 4. Support in Multidisciplinary Teams Collaborating with healthcare professionals across various specialties, including neurologists, endocrinologists, and pediatricians, to manage systemic conditions that affect eye health. 5. Pre- and Post-Surgical Care Performing pre-operative eye assessments for surgeries. Offering post-operative care and monitoring the recovery of patients undergoing eye surgeries. 6. Pediatric and Geriatric Eye Care Specializing in age-related eye conditions, including amblyopia in children and macular degeneration in elderly patients. 7. Education and Training Educating patients on maintaining eye health and preventing vision problems. Training medical staff on eye health and vision screening techniques. 8. Screening for Systemic Diseases Using eye exams to detect early signs of systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and autoimmune disorders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry. Proven experience in providing comprehensive eye care, including diagnosing and managing common eye diseases. Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide patient-centric care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
