This individual will play a central role in shaping and expanding our accounting, tax, and CFO services division. Starting with a two-year tenure in India, this role involves immersive learning across the organization, from client acquisition to delivering a top-tier client experience.The ultimate vision for this role is to lead the establishment of an in-house accounting and CFO services unit, transitioning from external resources to a fully internal operation. Over time, this person will grow into the CEO of UWS Accounting, Tax, and CFO Services, driving growth, innovation, and client excellence.Key Responsibilities1. Organizational Learning:• Gain a deep understanding of the firm’s operations, including client acquisition (finding), service delivery (grinding), and relationship management (minding).• Work closely with various teams to understand UWS’s unique approach to providing exceptional client experiences.2. Financial Oversight:• Serve as the inside CFO for UWS, managing financial operations in collaboration with external accounting firms.• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and compliance for the organization.3. Building the Accounting Unit:• Develop a roadmap for creating an internal accounting arm focused on U.S. tax and CFO services.• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to support the vision.• Establish processes, systems, and workflows to ensure scalability and efficiency.Growth and Expansion (After 24 Months)1. Transitioning to In-House Services:• Lead the transition from external to in-house accounting, tax, and CFO services.• Build and refine the service delivery model to meet client needs with precision and excellence.2. Leadership & Vision:• Assume the role of CEO for UWS Accounting, Tax, and CFO Services.• Drive business growth, oversee client engagements, and ensure financial performance targets are met.• Represent UWS in client and industry engagements, establishing the firm as a leader in accounting and CFO services.3. Strategic Development:• Identify opportunities for expanding the service portfolio, including tax advisory, CFO consulting, and financial planning services.• Stay updated on industry trends, ensuring the division remains competitive and innovative.Required Qualifications• Educational Background:• Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA in Finance or Accounting.• Additional certifications (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are a plus.Experience:• At least 10 years of experience in accounting, tax preparation, and financial management.• Proven track record of building and managing accounting units, preferably for U.S.-based clients.• Technical Expertise:• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws, compliance, and reporting requirements.• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.Leadership Skills:• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive strategic initiatives.• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.• Cultural Fit:• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and scaling businesses.• Commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.
