Job Description

We are looking for a patent professional with 3-5 years of experience in patent prosecution and patent specification drafting for US jurisdiction to work from our Bangalore office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing responses to US Office Actions, drafting complete patent applications for the US and Indian jurisdictions, mentoring Jr. Associates, and assisting in the firm's practice development activities.Designation:Associate/Sr. Associate – Patent Drafting and Prosecution (3-5 years relevant work experience) Work mode:Monday-Friday from the Bangalore office(No work-from-home) CTC range:9-12 lakhs/AnnumMinimum Qualification: Drafted at least 60 responses to US Office Actions Must have a sound knowledge of US and Indian patent laws and procedures Drafted at least 30 complete patent specifications for USPTO 3-5 years of experience working on US Prosecution and Drafting patent specifications for the US and India Working experience in communicating directly with inventors/clients over emails and virtual meetings to gather details of the invention to conduct a patent search and draft a complete application Ability to work independently on projects Bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, communication engineering, or related fields Registered Indian Patent Agents are preferred, not mandatorySkills: Working knowledge of best practices in US Prosecution and Patent drafting Ability to quickly research and comprehend inventions related to diverse technologies Excellent analytical, and articulation skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects simultaneously Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior associates Knowledge of paid patent databases (preferably Orbit) Advanced working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
