The position of Plant Manager / head reports to the C.O.O. and Board of Directors. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the manufacturing operations of the organization and to deliver in line with organizational strategy in a safe & fully compliant manner. The incumbent will work collaboratively across the Organization to optimize performance, drive growth and maintain the integrity of the operations. The incumbent’s role would involve working with people and in directing & leading the team to achieve operational plans. A mindset of operational excellence and continuous improvement including the EHS, Project Management & manufacturing functions is critical. Optimal utilisation of the resources in the form of Man, Machine and Material with a focus on sustainability will be a key aspect of this role. The position requires the incumbent to be a very good administrator and implementer of systems and processes and ensure that they are followed in letter and spirit. The position is a challenging position as it would test the incumbent capabilities for Strategic thinking, Administration & Leadership Skills in addition to the other core attributes, for he would be tasked with leading a team of professionals to achieve and exceed Organizational goals. The position entails challenges as under and it is expected that the incumbent leads from the front and has a hands-on approach thereby becoming a role model for one to emulate: A. Delivering of operational performance including quality assurance and process excellence with a focus on sustainability and digitization. B. Managing costs both operational and capital to achieve the business goals of revenue, volume & contribution margins. C. Delivering projects both improvement (Brown field) and Greenfield within budget and on time. D. Maintain & improve Industrial Relations and employee engagement across sites. E. Maintain and improve the sites with respect to compliances across Environment, Health and Safety functions. F. Represent Organization at stakeholder’s forums externally and internally The position is supported by: (Direct report’s) 6 Supervisors. Overall direct and indirect put together a count of 25/30 persons inclusive of blue collared staff both on roll (approx. 43) plus on contract (80 plus). The position interacts with: Internally: With all heads of department like Sales, Finance, Marketing, Projects etc., counterparts based at overseas. Externally: Auditors, Technical service providers, External audit agency etc.
