1. POSITION VACANT: Manager - Water and Soil Conservation, Development Alternatives, Bundelkhand2. The organization is committed to delivering development outcomes that are socially equitable, environmentally sound, and economically scalable.The Bundelkhand region is a social laboratory and ‘karmabhoomi’ where DA concentrate the efforts to build local capacities, regenerate natural resources, and infuse science and technology-based solutions to catalyse social change processes and demonstrate sustainable development in action.For more information about DA, please visit: JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:The Manager - Water and Soil Conservation will be instrumental in preparing technical designs for water and soil conservation projects and managing their large-scale execution. The responsibilities will include ensuring strict budget adherence and financial accountability. Additionally, she/he will establish and cultivate local and state-level networks and partnerships to support successful project implementation and outcomes.Key Responsibilities:(A) Project Implementation:(1) Develop and prepare technical designs for water and soil conservation initiatives;(2) Independently manage and execute large-scale water and soil conservation projects on-site;(3) Oversee and analyze extensive data related to project performance and outcomes;(4) Create and implement frameworks to assess and evaluate project impact;(5) Manage project finances independently, ensuring budget adherence and financial accountability;(6) Handle client relations and ensure comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle;(7) Produce high-quality knowledge products such as case studies, briefs, and articles to support knowledge building and dissemination;(8) Establish and nurture local and state-level networks and partnerships to facilitate project execution and success;(B) Business Development:(1) Develop compelling concepts and proposals related to water and soil conservation;(2) Forge and maintain relationships with partners, donors, and government officials to drive business development and project funding.4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:Qualifications:Master’s degree in a relevant field.Experience:(1) Minimum 8-10 years of experience, with a preference for experience in the Bundelkhand region;(2) Proven experience managing CSR and government-funded projects, including those funded by NABARD.Key Skills and Competencies:(1) Proficient in using GIS tool and AutoCAD;(2) Demonstrated ability to engage with various stakeholders, including government, private sector, and local communities;(3) Willingness to relocate to Jhansi, Bundelkhand area;(4) Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a practical, results-oriented mindset.5.
