Hiring for theAcademic Year 2025-2026, the ideal candidate must be organized, and capable of fostering innovative and engaging learning experiences within available resources. Creating a holistic, inquiry-based environment, the candidate will instil thoughtful and ethical behaviour, ensuring the IB Learner profile values guide the heart of learning in our school.Key Responsibilities: Teach English as a second language to students of various proficiency levels, adapting learning to meet the needs of the students. Develop and design lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to the needs of the students, fostering inquiry-based learning and critical thinking. Assess students’ language proficiency through formative and summative assessments, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs and supporting their progression towards the IB language Acquisition objectives. Provide detailed, constructive feedback on student performance across the four main criteria of language (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing). Cultivate an inclusive and motivating learning environment that encourages active student participation, fosters self–reflection, and nurtures the IB Learner Profile Attributes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate language support strategies across the programmes and the curriculum. Integrate technology and diverse resources to enhance language learning, utilizing tools that support both the ESL and the IB objectives. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on language development, and academic areas of growth, and offering strategies to support learning at home within the IB framework. Keep abreast of the best ESL classroom practices and implement them within the school context. Be an active part of all events conducted by and in the school.Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's degree in the relevant field. A TESOL/TEFL certificate would be an added advantage. Commitment to promoting Inclusion and the IB learner profile. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Experience in an IB school would be an added benefit.Additional Information: Job location is in Chetpet, Chennai. This is an on-site job. School timings are from 7.30 am to 3.00 pm. A laptop will be provided for school use only.
