Position:Chief Financial Officer Location :PunePosition Overview: Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Business Finance to join a leadership team as a Chief Financial Officer. This pivotal role is essential for overseeing the financial, legal, and compliance functions of the organization while acting as a trusted advisor to the promoter and a counterbalance to the growth-oriented leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing banking relations, accounts, taxation, legal matters, compliance, and investor relations, with the ability to lead cultural transformation and act as a peer to the promoter and CEO. Candidates should have previously managed a revenues upward of INR 800 cr.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership : Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with its overall business objectives. Accounts Management and Reporting :Manage the company’s financial performance, including analysis, forecasting, and reporting on financial results to the board of directors and executive management. Finance :Liaison with Banks, Financial Institutions and other investment agencies to secure working capital, term loans, and other financing arrangements. Taxation & Legal Compliance:Tax planning and management of direct and indirect taxes; Finalization of statements of accounts complying with accounting standards. Compliance & Company Secretarial Functions:Ensuring statutory requirements of the company are met with and act as the prime contact between the board of directors, management, internal departments, shareholders, government organizations, institutions and other external agencies with the objective of ensuring transparency in the operations of the company within the statutory and company guidelines and framework. Oversee the company secretarial (CS) functions, ensuring timely compliance with statutory filings and corporate governance standards. Investor Relation:Manage investor relations by conducting market-facing calls and providing regular updates on financial performance and strategies. Risk Management and Leadership:Act as the voice of caution to balance the ambitious goals of the promoter and leadership team with prudent risk management strategies. Mitigate risks from financial, compliance, taxation, and business perspectives to ensure organizational stability.Personal Attributes: Visionary and strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to risk and growth. Dual CA and CS qualifications are a bonus. Must have independently managed Finance portfolios for large businesses. Exposure to working in a listed Company is desirable. Must have extensive experience in securing financing from banks and collaborating with major audit firms. Experience in taxation laws / regulatory compliance with company law board / RBI Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions. Ability to analyze data; at ease with budgetary challenges, deadlines, and high pressure situations Strong ability to influence thinking, strategic partnership and build consensus Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP); An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers Strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, communication, motivation, loyalty, and innovation driven professional
