We develop next-generation battery technologies at our state-of-the-art R&D Innovation Hubs in India and the UK.JOB SUMMARY This is a highly skilled and experienced position where he/she will lead IMS to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Integrated Management System (IMS) for our new EV battery cell manufacturing facility. This critical role will be focusing on establishing a strong foundation for operational excellence, quality, compliance, and sustainability. The IMS Lead will ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, driving the successful integration of ISO standards and digitalization initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIES IMS Development and Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, and IATF 16949 standards. Ensure the IMS is effectively integrated into all business processes and operations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure continuous alignment with regulatory requirements. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with industry regulations, particularly for EV battery cell manufacturing, and ensure all processes and products comply with relevant regulatory and environmental requirements. Liaise with regulatory bodies and certification agencies, driving compliance with evolving standards. Implement and maintain quality management systems specific to automotive requirements, ensuring adherence to automotive industry standards such as IATF 16949.Pre-SOP Preparation: Lead the implementation of management systems starting from the pre-production phase, ensuring that all necessary systems are in place before SOP. Work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare for regulatory certifications and process audits. Digital and Industry 4.0 Integration: Oversee the implementation of digital tools and Industry 4.0 technologies to support paperless operations and real-time monitoring. Leverage data analytics platforms and automated systems to improve IMS efficiency and decision-making processes. Promote digital transformation and support the deployment of smart manufacturing solutions. Continuous Improvement and Risk Management: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and environmental performance, driving operational excellence. Implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings, performance data, and risk assessments. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and foster innovation in IMS practices, benchmarking best practices from similar industries. Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees are knowledgeable about IMS policies, procedures, and digital tools. Lead the training and certification of internal auditors and ensure continuous learning in quality, safety, and environmental best practices. Foster a culture of quality, safety, and environmental awareness, promoting operational excellence at all levels. Supplier and OEM Coordination: Establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure that all incoming materials meet high-quality standards. Coordinate with automotive OEMs to align quality expectations and specifications, ensuring that products meet customer requirements. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date IMS documentation, including policies, procedures, audit results, and regulatory compliance records. Prepare and present regular reports on IMS performance, compliance status, and improvement initiatives to senior management. Ensure digital records are maintained and accessible for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal use.Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the EV battery cell manufacturing industry or a highly regulated environment. In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, and IATF 16949 standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions. Certification as a Lead Auditor for ISO standards. Six Sigma Green Belt (GB) or Black Belt (BB) certification Strong leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in using quality management software, digital tools, and Industry 4.0 technologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, start-up environment.
