Job Title : Head of Operations - Wonderla Kochi Park Job Location : Wonderla Kochi, Kerala Reports To : Park Head / Senior ManagementJob Overview:TheHead of Operationsis responsible for overseeing and managing all operational aspects of Wonderla Kochi Park. This includes ensuring the efficient running of all park operations, from ride management, safety protocols, guest services, and staffing, to meeting performance targets and managing the day-to-day activities that contribute to a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.Key Responsibilities:Operational Oversight : Oversee the daily operations of the entire amusement park, including rides, water park areas, food and beverage, maintenance, security, guest services, and other departments. Ensure that park operations are in compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and Wonderla’s internal policies.Team Leadership and Management : Lead and manage a team of operational managers, supervisors, and staff across various departments. Ensure effective communication and coordination among different teams to achieve operational efficiency. Hire, train, and develop team members to deliver high-quality service.Guest Experience : Ensure exceptional guest experience through the timely resolution of issues, maintaining cleanliness, managing ride schedules, and ensuring staff is responsive and helpful. Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction levels to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.Budget and Cost Control : Monitor and manage the operational budget, including controlling operational costs and optimizing resource allocation. Ensure the park runs efficiently with optimal staff levels and resource usage while maintaining high standards of service.Health, Safety, and Compliance : Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and health regulations, ensuring that all equipment and rides are regularly maintained and that staff are trained on safety protocols. Oversee the implementation of emergency response plans, risk management, and regular safety drills.Maintenance and Infrastructure : Oversee the maintenance of rides and other park facilities to ensure they are in good working condition. Collaborate with the technical and maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and routine maintenance are carried out.Performance Monitoring and Reporting : Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to park operations, guest satisfaction, safety, and profitability. Provide regular reports to senior management regarding park performance, operational challenges, and growth opportunities.Strategic Planning and Improvement : Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency, increase profitability, and enhance the overall park experience. Collaborate with marketing and other departments to plan special events, promotions, and seasonal activities.Qualifications:Education : A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.Experience : 8+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the amusement park, hospitality, or entertainment industry. Prior experience in a leadership role with a focus on large-scale operations and team management.Skills : Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. In-depth knowledge of operational management, safety protocols, and compliance in an entertainment environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, employees, and senior management. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Budgeting and financial acumen to manage costs and resources effectively. Knowledge of guest service best practices and customer-centric approaches. Problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly resolve operational issues.
