Summary of PositionThe Pricing Specialist plays a key role in managing pricing strategies for straightforward deals, including non strategic new, add-on, and renewal contracts across all platforms. This role is responsible for everyday pricing activities, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in all pricing submissions. The Pricing Specialist focuses on implementing pricing processes for routine deals, while handling more complex transactions under guidance from senior team members.This role ensures that pricing models are applied consistently and in line with corporate policies. It involves managing pricing for storage solutions and everyday global bids, reviewing pricing proposals for approval, and collaborating closely with sales and deal desk teams to deliver pricing solutions that meet both company and client expectations. While the role is less focused on calculating margins and profits, it requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse data to ensure accurate pricing.Complex algebra, logic, or excel formula and data manipulation not required. Basic and working understanding of Excel, algebra, and CRM as well as ability to follow company processes is required.This role also provides support to junior pricing team members, offering guidance and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.Responsibilities Manage a queue of pricing requests, providing detailed quotes and analyses to internal teams. Implement pricing adjustments as directed by senior management or pricing guidelines. Prepare pricing promptly and accurately to support decision-making processes. Monitor market prices, competitor pricing strategies, and internal pricing data. Apply knowledge, skills and judgment to make decisions and resolve issues relating to orders/contracts. Apply pricing methodologies to optimize pricing strategies. Follow up with Sales Orders to check on the status and relay messages onto the appropriate individual(s) Provide status updates on open orders to sales rep, managers and team members. Collaborate with Fulfilment Team to resolve issues Maintain record of issues and updated records Provide management with relevant feedback to improve processes, procedures, inventory management, and overall efficiency. Share best practices and provide cross training to peers, team members and outside business units to enhance the quality and efficiency of the Sales Operations Process and contribute to the knowledge base. Establish strong relationships with Sales, Controlling, Representatives, Projects, Service, and other internal resources as appropriate. Additional responsibilities and duties as required to support the team when requested Qualify opportunities Attend Deal Desk meetings as and when required Work with Deal Desk during the initial stages of a bid, and help create the necessary documentation and document management procedures Assist Team members with price negotiates with partners/vendors Support Deal Desk Manager/Team Leader is his/her responsibilities, as neededRequirement Knowledge: Pricing Principles, Financial Analysis, Market Dynamics, Product Knowledge, Data Analysis Skills: Queue Management, Detailed Quoting, Analytical Skills, Communication, Time Management Behaviors: Attention to Detail, Proactive Approach, Collaboration, Adaptability, Ethical Conduct Capabilities: Problem-Solving, Decision-Making, Customer Focus, Continuous Learning, Results Orientation 2-3 years of experience in pricing, finance, or a related role minimum or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Economics, or a related field.
