Patent Paralegal Expert (US Patent Prosecution Specialist)Location: RemoteExperience: 6-8 years of experience in patent prosecution, focusing on U.S. and PCT filings, and with exposure to other foreign jurisdictions.Skills:Expertise in U.S. patent application filing and prosecution documentation.Proficiency in PCT filing processes and managing documentation workflows.Excellent client communication and reporting skills.Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal).Familiarity with patent docketing systems and IP management tools is a must.Responsibilities:Prepare and file U.S. patent applications and associated prosecution documents and coordinate with USPTO agentPreparing and filing PCT applications and related documentation.Support and manage patent filings in European and Canadian jurisdictions.Draft and review responses to office actions and other prosecution-related correspondence.Maintain and manage patent dockets, ensuring all deadlines are met.Communicate with clients to provide updates, clarify procedures, and deliver detailed reports.Collaborate with attorneys and clients to ensure all documentation meets legal and procedural requirements. Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a Patent Paralegal. As a Patent Paralegal at Photon Legal, the role will require the individual to assist attorneys in all stages of the patent process including, but not limited to, filing Indian and foreign patent applications, preparing legal documents, supporting the prosecution of patents, coordinating with Foreign Attorneys, docketing, and assisting accounts team in invoicing. The Patent Paralegal will be responsible for organizing and maintaining client files as they relate to patent prosecution matters.QualificationsPatent Law, Patent Preparation, and Patent Applications knowledge.Experience with Legal Document Preparation and patent Prosecution.Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and attention to detail skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and to work well independently.Basic knowledge of computers and software tools including Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat is essential.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in paralegal studies or IP law.Prior experience working in a law firm is preferred.
