As Junior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, JMD will follow an individual work plan, meet day to‐day short‐term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Working closely with project managers and manufacturing personnel during both design and fabrication stages.1.Review design requirements, drawings and schedules to ensure customerrequirements are met.2. Deliver technical solutions using defined processes as part of a team.3. Develop and prepare engineering drawing package for customer approval andfabrication.4. Conduct basic assembly for prototype and golden sample.5. Focused on developing expertise in a specific discipline or function.6. Follows individual work plans to meet day‐today short‐term objectives.7. Resolves issues through immediate action or short‐term planning.8. Build technical depth in mechanical domain.9. Excellent oral and written communication skills.10. Ensure quality control, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.11. Other duties as assigned.12. Well organised and time focused.Qualifications and Educational Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering• 1-2 years experience in mechanical designing / drafting• Basic Mechanical aptitude• Excellent computer skills and MS Office intermediate proficiency• Strong proficiency in Auto CAD• SolidWorks knowledge an asset• Experience with sheet metal component design• Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical principles• Ability to produce quality drawings at expected volume
