Hiring for Senior Account - US AccountingJob Duties: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our GCC accounting team. The candidate shall be allocated full retainer clients and will be responsible for ensuring the agreed compliances for those clients. He/she shall work closely with trainees on these jobs and will be responsible for closing the deliverables for the client. The detailed job profile will include: Keeping seniors informed and providing regular financial reports and updates on clients, including financial statements, and other performance metrics. Maintaining open lines of communication to understand the needs and concerns. Should be able to understand the reconciliation process of job cost to GL and gross profits to the statement of income as well as the analysis of contract. Should be able to evaluate the contract information on a percentage of completion basis as well as gross profit analyses on a contract-by-contract basis AIA billing and requisition processes including retainage provisions for both receivables and payables Understand how the billed to date per the requisition less payments to date received or paid tie out to the accounts/retainage receivables or payables Evaluate the contract information on a percentage of completion basis as well as gross profit analyses on a contract-by-contract basis. Investigating and resolving accounting errors and discrepancies. Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results. Provide input into departments goal setting process. Liaise with our Manager to improve the financial procedures. Assist in preparation of process notes and training material including continuous updation and implementation Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge in accounting issues and accounting standards (including US GAAP) as applicable. Minimum three years of US Accounting experience specifically in Construction industry. Knowledge of MS Office, QBO, Freshbooks, CoConstruct or any other construction industry specific software.
