The Field Application Engineer provides technical support and expertise to clients, ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of products. Key objectives include enhancing customer satisfaction, driving product adoption, and contributing to the company’s growth.*The territory for this role is Northern India, ideally, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Baroda, or Delhi*What You'll Do Facilitate technical exchange between customers and sales teams to design engineer Standex productsFacilitate product customization and integration to meet customer requirements, ensuring seamless implementationIdentify and resolve technical issues, offering innovative solutions to optimize product performanceDeliver pre-and post-sales technical support via technology presentations and product demonstrationsRespond to technical questions from customers, providing thorough documentation and timely feedbackGather and consolidate customer feedback to help define new products and improve existing onesProvide technical support to customers, addressing application needs and troubleshooting issuesCollaborate with the sales team to support customer engagements, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growthMaintain proactive communication with customersAssist in the development of application notes, user manuals, and other technical documentationCollaborate closely with factory teams to ensure effective technical support and information exchangeStay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to provide informed recommendationsTravel to customer sites as needed to support sales and implementation activitiesDirect Management ResponsibilitiesThis role has no direct management responsibilities. However, this role requires indirect leadership of team members across multiple functions, levels, and sites. This indirect leadership includes:Foster collaboration with team members to drive value and collectively identify and resolve problems.Advocate for the end user and stakeholder by empathizing with and understanding user needs.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align customer needs with company objectives.Oversee project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that customer expectations are met within the agreed-upon timeframes.Exhibit active listening, facilitate sessions, and clearly communicate at all levels. What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in a field application engineering role or similar technical support positionWillingness and ability to travel 20% to customer sites as needed to support sales and implementation activities Strong technical knowledge of the company’s products and their applicationsWhat We Value CAD experience, namely, with SolidWorks.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issuesDemonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneouslyStrong organizational skills with a process-oriented mindsetCommunication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence othersEffective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong customer service orientation and a commitment to delivering high-quality supportAdaptability and a proactive approach to learning new technologies and industry developmentsWillingness to travel to customer sites and industry events upon need
