Purpose of Job:The Head of Supply Chain Management is responsible for Globally leading, developing, and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process within the organization. This includes overseeing procurement, inventory management, logistics, distribution, and demand planning. The role ensures the effective coordination of supply chain operations to meet organizational goals, improve operational efficiency, minimize costs, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor of Engg. with MBA in Operations, Exposure to Digital Technologies and IT would be a preferable Essential Experience:18-22 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the energy and glass technology sectorsJob Conditions: Central roleReporting to: CEOKey Responsibilities: 1. Develop and Implement Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.2. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.3. Logistics and Transportation Management: Oversee logistics and transportation operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods.4. Procurement and Inventory Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies, manage inventory levels, and optimize stockholding costs.5. Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze and optimize supply chain processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and service enhancement.6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and minimizing disruptions.7. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.8. Budgeting and Cost Management: Manage supply chain budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.9. He/she should have experience in handling or dealing with Energy portfolio and dealt with PSU Gas & Power companies10. Handled RM portfolio with emphasis on minerals & chemical purchases and performed strategic sourcing11.
