What our customers have in common is the strategic use of technology to build a sustainable competitive advantage.Role Description:Working as part of the Redfaire Technical Services team, this role will provide primary infrastructure support, ensuring customer systems (hosted in cloud or on-premise) are protected and healthy.In addition to providing on-going administration and housekeeping, the role also requires competence in networking, virtualisation and cloud technology, including but not limited to provisioning new server infrastructure and allocating compute resources, namely disk, memory and CPU.The candidate should have excellent verbal & written communication skills in English & proven analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex technical environment. The candidate will also need the ability to work with a mix of remote and office-based resources.Responsibilities:Run and maintain infrastructure instances within cloud or on-premise.Troubleshoot technical issues (Cloud, OS, network).Keep Customer up to date on the progress via ticketing systems.Participate in on-call rota. Work with the Delivery Team to;Onboard new customersImplement service improvement plansLiaise with consultants and other internal departments including the CNC, database, functional support and development teams.Develop Industry Knowledge: keeping the team abreast of current trends and technologies and sourcing training where necessary.Ensure customer systems are protected by;Applying recommended security patchesEnsuring Backup and Recovery scripts are in place and workingForecast logical and physical space and processing demands.Ensure ISO27001 / GDPR compliance.Qualifications, Experience & Skills:Relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent.At least 5 years’ experience of working as a senior OS/network administration role in multi-customer environment.Expert Linux knowledge, including strong Linux troubleshooting skills essential.Expert Windows knowledge.Very good understanding of network concepts.Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Oracle Observability & Management knowledge beneficial.Systematic approach to problem resolution.Ability to work independently under one’s own initiative whilst being part of a team.Ability to work under pressure, take leadership & to prioritize workloads.Recognize the importance of customer service and strive to deliver high standards.Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
