President Reshef’s TED Talk and Nas Daily interview about the University have 30 million views combined.Reports to: Manager-OAOAppointment and Scope of Responsibilities: The Coordinator of the Office of Academic Operations (OAO), reporting to the Manager of OAO, is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Academic Operations. In addition to the daily support to academic queries from instructors and student advisors, the Coordinator also works with others departments to collaboratively mediate and resolve instructor, curricular, technical, and student issues. The coordinators also train and support new and existing instructor members on best online teaching practices.Some of the major duties of this position include:Is responsible for regularly checking instructor presence and performance in courses using proprietary technologiesAnswers instructor emails; provides responses to routine inquiries, reminders, and advice ranging from a variety of topics (e.g. points of contact, job/task reminders, LMS “how-tos” and refreshers, general pedagogy and course advice, , etc.)Answers advising emails on behalf of Academic Affairs; provides responses to routine inquiries, reminders, and advice ranging from a variety of topics (e.g. points of contact, policy clarifications, request to contact Instructors, Moodle Grade issues, Course content issues, etc.)Assist in training and evaluating faculty via synchronous and asynchronous methodsAssist in time sensitive projects that involve direct matters of Academic or Instructor AffairsIn conjunction with others, is responsible for course planning and scheduling as well as meeting instructional needs via course scheduling lists each term and communicating course schedules to InstructorsIs available as needed for live phone/Skype/MS TEAMS calls or instant message chats with various colleagues.Minimum Qualifications:A minimum of a Master's Degree from an Accredited InstitutionPrevious experience working and managing faculty in higher educationEffectively use time management to prioritize daily tasks and long-term projectsStrong skills in directing and developing faculty membersExperience with CRM, LMS database and productivity tools like EXCEL.Ability to work with diverse constituencies and staffStrong organizational skills; a self-starter capable of working independently while also being a team- playerStrong written and oral communication abilitiesExcellent computer and technology skillsBroadband internet connection, computer and software for working virtuallyFluent in English
