Job Title - DGM/AGM-Power Plant- Operations (Boiler Head) Level - DGM/AGM Location -Raipur, C.GAbout the Job Responsible for leading the daily operations activities and reporting of the Boilers, Ash Handling Plant (AHP) and precipitators (ESP) and supporting the DGM O&M as and how required. The individual must ensure smooth Boiler, AHP, & ESP operations and must have a deep understanding of power plant operations and maintenance.Roles and ResponsibilitiesBoiler Operations & Maintenance Execute the scheduled daily production plan taking periodic maintenance activities into account to ensure optimal efficiency, productivity, and profitability Monitor the implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards and rectify any deviances identified. Track daily power generation data to identify trends and generate recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and to improve reliability. Work closely with the various production unit heads to capture the desired electrical requirements for the uninterrupted operations of their plant units, machinery, and equipment. Ensure power generated meets the desired qualitative and quantitative requirements of each production unit, as provided by the same. Manage and lead a team of managers, engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure all activities are performed safely and effectively Oversee the implementation of systems and processes to monitor, record and control the consumption of raw materials and other resources. Validate the raw material quality tests and appropriately amend material consumption schedules. Liaise with the Raw Materials department to ensure continuous supply of raw materials for the planned operations of power plant. Conduct daily visits across the Boiler, AHP, & ESP work areas to observe, validate, and rectify process deviances and abnormalities. Receive maintenance requests from Boiler, AHP, & ESP work areas and share the same with the relevant maintenance teams. Work closely with the Operation Excellence team as well as the PM-CBM team to ensure that all the maintenance activities are being completed as per SOPs and on time to reduce downtime and breakdown events.General Management Ensure that all Boiler, AHP, & ESP operations and maintenance activities adhere to departmental plan and budgets. Oversee the implementation of periodic skills and knowledge development training programs across the Boiler, AHP, & ESP team and provide relevant support as required Ensure all documentation, records and data sets for the daily Boiler, AHP, & ESP operations and maintenance activities are maintained on internal systems as per departmental SOPs and procedures. Support the Head Power Plant in preparing, reporting, and presenting the same data sets at the regular DRM, CRM, MAT and SCM events. Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all employees are trained in safety protocols and that all equipment is properly maintained. Ensure that the team of engineers and technicians are trained and equipped to carry out their duties effectively Perform any additional tasks as and how required by the senior and top management.Requirements and SkillsDesired Qualifications Bachelors in mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from a reputable institution. Master’s degree in similar field preferred.Desired Experience 7+ years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance, 3+ years of leadership role, preferably in power plantFunctional Skills Deep understanding of power plant operations and maintenance, including knowledge of boilers, turbines, generators, and other related equipment Proven track record of successful plant management and operational excellence Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
