Job Profile: Sales Relationship Manager – Government Business (Education Sector) -South IndiaLocation: ChennaiPosition Overview:The Sales Relationship Manager for South India will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with government entities, driving business development, and achieving strategic goals within the education sector. This role demands a dynamic professional with experience in managing government partnerships, understanding educational needs, and promoting solutions tailored to public sector requirements.Key Responsibilities: Government Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key government officials, departments, and decision-makers in the education sector across South India. Serve as a primary point of contact for government stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and trust. Stay updated on government policies, programs, and opportunities in the education space.Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for government projects, grants, and partnerships to drive revenue growth in the education sector. Develop and implement strategies to position the company’s education solutions as preferred choices for government initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to create customized proposals, bids, and solutions for government tenders and contracts.Relationship Management: Establish long-term, value-driven partnerships with government entities, ensuring alignment with their education goals. Manage post-sale relationships, ensuring successful implementation, satisfaction, and continuous engagement. Address and resolve challenges promptly to maintain trust and credibility.Market Research & Insights:Monitor and analyze trends in the education sector within South India to identify growth opportunities. Provide insights into the organization on government priorities, challenges, and areas for collaboration.Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams to align efforts and deliver comprehensive solutions. Prepare and present reports on sales progress, relationship-building activities, and market intelligence to senior management.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management, with a focus on government or public sector clients. Proven track record in securing and managing government contracts in the education sector. Strong understanding of government procurement processes and education policies in India. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel extensively across South India to meet clients and stakeholders.Key Competencies:Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Relationship-building and networking abilities. Knowledge of educational technologies and solutions is a plus. Proficiency in regional languages of South India is an advantage.Location:South India (preferably based in a major city such as Bangalore, Chennai, or Hyderabad).This role is ideal for a proactive and driven individual with a passion for transforming education through meaningful partnerships with the government.
