Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Purchase Executive at R.H. International in Moradabad. The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing purchase orders, requisitions, and overall purchase management processes. The role involves effective communication with suppliers, procurement activities, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.Job SummaryThe Purchase Executive is responsible for procuring goods, materials, and services to ensure the company operates efficiently. This includes vendor management, negotiation, and inventory management, with a focus on sourcing quality materials and services at optimal costs. Specific expertise in export industry in metal, wood finishing, lighting items, and packing materials, are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Management: - Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliability and quality. - Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure favorable agreements.Procurement Operations: - Analyze purchase requisitions and determine procurement methods. - Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery. - Monitor and track orders, resolving issues like delays or shortages.Material-Specific Expertise: - Stay updated on the processes and rates of metal and wood finishing. - Evaluate and negotiate rates for fitting items and wiring for lighting products. - Ensure competitive pricing for packing materials while maintaining quality standards.Inventory Management: - Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to avoid disruptions. - Coordinate with the warehouse and operations team to ensure inventory accuracy.Cost Management: - Conduct market research to stay informed about pricing trends and product availability. - Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.Documentation and Compliance: - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor agreements. - Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations. - Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.Qualifications and Skills:Education: - Bachelor’s degree, MBA, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Experience: - 3 to 5 years of experience inpurchasing and rate negotiation in export firm, preferably with exposure to metal, wood, and lighting industries.Skills: - Strong negotiation and communication skills. - Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications. - Analytical thinking and attention to detail. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Knowledge: - Understanding of procurement best practices, market trends, and supply chain principles. - Knowledge of processes and rates for metal and wood finishing. - Familiarity with fitting items and wiring rates for lighting products. - Expertise in rate negotiation for packing materials.Key Competencies: • Problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational and time management abilities. • Ethical and transparent decision-making. • Team collaboration and stakeholder management.
