As part of this role you’ll be at the forefront of automotive technology for the next generation of our motorcycles (Traditional Connected and Electric). You will design how the various modules of the connected vehicles digital solution will interact with one another and with existing systems. You will own the solution architecture, including all components, middleware, interfaces and application programming interfaces (APIs) required for the connected ecosystem.Position Overview:Location:Chennai Position Title:Team Manager - Connected Vehicle Architect Reports to:Information Technology - Functional Head Function:Information TechnologyWhat you’ll do: Lead and design the solution architecture, including all components, middleware, interfaces and application programming interfaces (APIs) required Define the testing and scalability requirements Collaborate with IT teams to assess technical requirements Develop technology solutions and map product requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered Contribute across the technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment to native apps Leverage agile prototyping practices and transformation experts to provide a differentiating and distinctive service Develop excellent working relationships with diverse teams and job functions throughout the organization Proactively identify and manage technical risks/issues Ensure quality assurance for solutions and mitigations on complex issues Demonstrate leadership in product quality, technical excellence and engineering practices. Implement best practices and proceduresWhat you'll bring:Experience:10 to 15 years of very hands-on experience in development and microservices API. with around 3 to 4 years of EV/Connected Vehicle platform experience . 10-13 years of experience in software development, architecture, and/or IT management positions out of which around 3 years should be in Connected Vehicle platform /EV experienceQualification:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MCA or equivalent, Information Technology related fieldsSkills: Strong OOPs fundamentals, Java, XML, JSON, Web Services, SQLite databases and utilized extended libraries for integrations Strong knowledge on IoT gateway, MQTT and FOTA Understanding of vehicle architecture, Cluster software & Automotive OS. Strong development and infrastructure management knowledge on Google Cloud Platform, Big Query and Kafka Fluent in at least two programming languages; JAVA-J2EE, Node JS, React JS with frameworks Familiar with SQL programming on databases - SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB Hands on experience on below Microservices API development and core logic implementation Knowledge on gateway integrations, web services, service orchestration Core services development using Node JS, React JS, Docker, Kubernetes Security aspects, AIS encryption, SSL and networking setups Familiar with CI/CD process and backend code deployments Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and link analytics to derive solutions Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to clearly and effectively communicate complex analytical and technical content Collaborative team player, professional attitude with a strong drive and highly positive mindsetWhy work with us?
