Job Title: Network Security Engineer (L2) - Palo Alto/Check Point FirewallsJob Responsibilities: Firewall Architecture & Configuration : Understand the architecture and components ofPalo Alto Networks FirewallsorCheck Point Firewalls . Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions to protect the organization's network infrastructure effectively. Policy Configuration & Optimization : Configure and optimize firewall policies to ensure alignment with the organization's security requirements and best practices. Monitor and adjust policies based on emerging threats and changes in network architecture. Network Threat Prevention : Utilize network threat prevention features to proactively safeguard the environment from emerging threats. Troubleshoot issues related to firewalls, network security, and other related components. Change Request & Incident Management : Validate Change Request Forms raised by Level 1 resources. Perform major configuration changes, Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, and have these validated by the team lead or OEM support. Monitor and manage incidents with respect to Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions. Endpoint Protection & Email Security : Perform monitoring of endpoint protection and email security dashboards. Conduct risk analysis, submit daily risk profile reports, and participate in change management and incident management activities. Collaboration & Documentation : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve security incidents and improve firewall infrastructure. Ensure clear documentation of processes, configurations, and incident resolutions.Desired Skills and Qualifications:Networking Fundamentals : Strong knowledge ofMPLS ,VRF ,VPN , and network routing protocols. TCP/IP Expertise : In-depth understanding ofTCP/IPand network protocols, with practical experience in working with Internet technologies. Firewall Management & Threat Detection : Proven experience infirewall configuration , management, and troubleshooting, with a focus onthreat detectionandincident response . Firewall Solutions : Hands-on experience in the architecture and components ofPalo Alto Networks FirewallsorCheck Point Firewalls . Communication & Collaboration : Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment to achieve organizational security objectives.Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (preferred). Industry certifications such asPalo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)orCheck Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)are a plus.
