We bring together the best of educational science, technology, and childcare expertise to unveil the child's infinite potential.Key Responsibilities : Financial Leadership : Lead the finance department to develop, implement, and oversee the day to day accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets and treasury while building effective financial strategies and policies. Financial Planning & Analysis : Conduct detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support decision-making and optimize performance. Review and update internal control and standard operating procedures. Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (tax files, Canadian and US filings, internal/external audits), and communicate/coordinate with consultants and staff as needed. Reporting & Communication : Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial close reporting processes in accordance with Canadian GAAP and prepare review and present consolidated financial statements, management reports and key financial metrics to senior leadership in a timely manner. Cost Control & Efficiency : Improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and timeliness. Team Development : Manage, mentor and develop junior members of the finance team members and stay up to date on current trends. Budgeting and Forecasting:Leading the annual budget forecast and performing periodic forecast, working with department heads to identify and identify key budget drivers, provide various analysis, identify strengths and support decision making.Requirements : Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/CA is required. Experience: Minimumof 8-10 years in a senior finance role, WITH experience in North America and working in a multi entity environment with consolidation is required. Experience in working in multi entity, consolidation and 4 currency translations is required.Skills : Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis Strong knowledge of local and international financial regulations Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach Advanced user in QuickBooks Online, Rippling (Preferred) and advanced Excel skills Self motivated, results driven and capable of working on multiple priorities at a time.
