Job Summary The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with mine owners, traders, and other stakeholders in the iron ore/steel industry. The role involves understanding the intricacies of steel making raw material, negotiation, and supply chain operations with a strong focus on port-related activities.Key Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with mine owners, traders, and key stakeholders in the iron ore/steel industry. Develop procurement strategies for iron ore/pellets/coal, ensuring alignment with company goals. Conduct market research to understand pricing trends and opportunities for cost optimization. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries to ports. Oversee logistics operations, ensuring seamless movement of materials to ports. Monitor port activities, including inventory management and quality checks. Collaborate with internal teams for procurement planning and forecasting. Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards during procurement and transportation.Qualifications Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in iron ore/coal/pellets procurement, trading, or port operations.Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of steel making raw material, B2B commodity sourcing. Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. Knowledge of logistics, supply chain processes, customs and exports documentation. Analytical skills to interpret market data and trends. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Willingness to travel extensively.
