Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct assessments to identify, define and analyse possible risks for all stores, warehouses and offices. Audit processes and procedures both existing and drafted for risk management to find weaknesses. Develop and implement risk management controls and contingency plans, design processes to eliminate or mitigate potential risks. Communicate recommendations to management and prepare reports. Evaluate employees’ risk awareness and communicate guidelines to employees. Conduct trainings for health and safety measures. Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Inspect sites, equipment, machinery, etc. to observe possible unsafe conditions and take necessary corrective actions. Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.JOB SPECIFICATION:Required Experience : 10-12 years (preferably from Retail/ Hospitality) Three (3) years of experience of leading the risk & safety programme. Educational Qualification : Graduate/ Masters in Safety Management/ Risk Management/occupational health and safety or relevant field. Team Size : For the 1st year no direct reports, to work with regional team membersKNOWLEDGE SKILLS REQUIRED:Knowledge of regulations pertinent to environmental health, safety, and risk management. Knowledge of ergonomic principles, hazardous materials handling and disposal, and emergency preparedness practices. Knowledge of insurance principles and practices, including claims adjustment and settlements. Knowledge of risk assessment and control, experience with auditing and reporting procedures. The incumbent should be highly perceptive and methodical. Should communicate effectively across levels and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Liaison with different internal & external stakeholders including but not limited to industry analysts, CXO team, customers, external agencies, vendors, inspectors, etc. Must have excellent attention to detail observation ability to identify hazards. Ability to prepare clear, comprehensive correspondence, reports, and other written materials. Ability to present proposals and recommendations clearly, logistically, and persuasively. Proven experience as a Risk & Safety Manager. Strong excel, data analysis and research skills. Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude. Ability to manage multiple projects at once while delivering high quality work, adhering to standards and meeting deadlines.
