Job Description: Linux Administrator (L3) Location:Onsite at Aditya Birla Group office,ThaneRole Overview We are seeking a technically proficient and experiencedLinux Administrator (L3)to join our team onsite at the Aditya Birla Group office in Thane. This full-time role involves advanced-level administration, troubleshooting, and management of Linux systems, focusing primarily on Red Hat Linux while being adept with other Linux flavors. The position offers a general shift schedule from Monday to Friday and presents opportunities for significant learning and career growth. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Level 3 (L3) expert for Linux operating systems, providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting. Administer, monitor, and maintain Red Hat Linux systems, ensuring high availability and performance. Manage other Linux distributions as needed, leveraging broad expertise across various Linux platforms. Perform regular system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to ensure optimal system performance and compliance. Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, working collaboratively with other IT teams as required. Handle configuration, automation, and management of server environments using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or equivalent. Monitor system health, conduct capacity planning, and optimize system resources. Ensure timely backup and restoration processes are in place, safeguarding critical data and applications. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. Qualifications and Skills Experience: 5–7 years of experience as a core OS administrator with hands-on expertise in Linux environments. Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Linux and strong expertise in managing other Linux distributions. Proficient in shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or KVM. Knowledge of networking concepts, security protocols, and storage management. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
