Job Purpose To conduct costing and cost-effectiveness analysis to evaluate the operational and public health impact of midwifery program in India.JobOutline This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain extensive hands-on research experience in maternal healthcare and operations research. The Research Analyst will be responsible for: (i) modelling costs through Time Driven Activity Based Costing (TDABC) methodology, (ii) performing Cost Effectiveness Analysis (CEA), (iii) generating reports, presentations and manuscript for disseminating outcomes, and (iv) liaising with stakeholdersAbout the project: This research aims to assess the cost and cost-effectiveness of midwifery care, in India. It is a retrospective cohort study that compares midwifery care with traditional obstetric care by evaluating their effectiveness in diverse set ups, including private vs. public hospitals, and tertiary vs. non-tertiary care facilities. The goal is to identify the most effective midwifery care set up and provide evidence-based recommendations to scale-up across India.
