If you're able to relocate and work from there, we encourage you to apply.Purpose of the Job: Lead Cybersecurity Operations and to oversee and coordinate all aspects of an organization's cybersecurity strategy, policies, and operations. Developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organization's assets from cyber threats. Leading a team of cybersecurity professionals responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents. Conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses. Collaborating with other departments, such as IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment of cybersecurity efforts with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Keeping abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continually improve the organization's security posture. Communicating regularly with senior leadership and stakeholders to provide updates on the organization's cybersecurity posture and any emerging risks or incidents. Developing and overseeing cybersecurity awareness and training programs to educate employees about security best practices and their role in maintaining a secure environment.Major Activities: Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance. Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks to the organization's assets, including data, systems, and infrastructure. Create and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards & procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. Design and implement secure architectures for network, systems, and Apps, considering both current and emerging threats. Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure they meet security requirements. Oversee day-to-day monitoring, analysis, and maintenance of security controls, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and AV solutions. Provide leadership & guidance to ensure cybersecurity initiatives align with the organization's overall governance framework. Educating employees and stakeholders about cybersecurity threats, best practices & their roles in protecting the organization. Staying informed about emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends to continuously enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture. Allocating resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to support cybersecurity initiatives effectively.Frameworks, Boundaries & Decision-making Authority: The job holder has the authority to make decisions related to adherence to industry-standard frameworks like NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc., to establish a baseline for cybersecurity practices. The job holder has the freedom to evaluate, select, and implement cybersecurity tools, technologies, and solutions to safeguard the organization's digital assets. The job holder has the freedom to update, review and develop cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The job holder has the authority to approve/decline proposed changes that could introduce security risks, authorizing access to sensitive systems or data, and more.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree:in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Knowledge of Regulations and Compliance:Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards, depending on the organization's needs.Minimum Experience: Relevant Experience:Minimum 9 plus years of experience in cybersecurity roles, often in progressively responsible positions. This could include experience in areas such as network security, information security, incident response, or risk management.Job-Specific Skills: Leadership Skills:Strong leadership and management skills are essential for a head of cybersecurity position. This includes the ability to lead teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and make strategic decisions to protect the organization's assets.Language: EnglishSpecial Certification or Membership: Certifications:Industry-recognized certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or others industry standard certifications.
