The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process design, process modeling, and a strong background in green technologies and CO2 emissions reduction. This role requires expertise in functional safety, ATEX, safety risk assessment, HAZOP, failure and root cause analysis, and technical documentation.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize processes to reduce CO2 emissions in cement production. Create and maintain process flow diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PNIDs). Conduct process modeling and simulations to evaluate and improve process performance. Ensure compliance with functional safety requirements, ATEX regulations, and safety risk assessments. Conduct HAZOP studies to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the process design. Perform failure and root cause analysis to improve process reliability and safety. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for processes and equipment. Design and conduct experiments, pilot testing, and operation of pilot plants. Operate and maintain lab equipment for process development and testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement green technologies and improve process efficiency. Stay updated on the latest advancements in green technologies and CO2 reduction methods.Knowledge Areas:Preheaters, burners, and reactor designs. Clay calcination technologies. Alternative fuels and combustion processes.Methods and Tools:Data analysis and engineering calculations. Simulation and numerical techniques (modeling strategy, capturing physics) - experience with Baracuda software is a plus. Proficiency in Matlab and MS Office.Additional Experience (Nice to Have):Site experience, especially in a cement plant, is a plus. Project management skills.
