Job Summary: The Project Manager - O&U is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of utility operations and projects within the chemical manufacturing plant. This role ensures that utility systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to support efficient and safe production processes.Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution : Lead the planning, execution, and completion of utility projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. System Design and Optimization : Oversee the design, installation, and optimization of utility systems, including water, steam, air, and power. Safety and Compliance : Ensure all utility operations and projects comply with safety standards and environmental regulations. Budget Management : Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation. Stakeholder Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues or concerns. Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Continuous Improvement : Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance utility system performance and reliability.Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management are a plus. Experience : Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in utility operations and project management within the chemical manufacturing industry. Skills : Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in project management software. Certifications : PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.Desired Attributes: Attention to Detail : Ability to oversee complex projects and ensure all aspects are meticulously managed.
