Key Responsibilities : Payroll Processing : Manage the end-to-end payroll cycle for US and Canada employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Withholding Taxation : Calculate and ensure the correct withholding of federal, state, and local taxes as per applicable laws. State Employment Tax Returns : Prepare and file state-specific tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. Insurance & Other Payroll Compliance : Administer employee-related insurance and ensure compliance with statutory payroll regulations and other benefit programs. Assist in addressing employee queries related to payroll, taxation, and benefits. Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and payroll laws for the US and Canada regions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and compliance. Skills & Qualifications : Experience : 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, taxation, and compliance, preferably in the US & Canada region. Software Proficiency : Strong knowledge ofIntuit QuickBooksand advanced MS Excel. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees, management, and external partners. Education : MBA or equivalent degree, with a focus on finance, accounting, or a related field. Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and meet strict deadlines. Preferred Skills : Experience with global payroll systems or working with multi-country payroll. Knowledge of employee benefit schemes and tax implications related to payroll.
