The Tata Group operates in more than 100 countries across six continents, with the mission 'To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with Trust.’Job Responsibilities Partners with technology transfer mother company, PSMC, to learn how to plan, design, enable and execute the operational support of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) with vendors together. Learn the AMHS semi-standard and in the future can deal with AMHS vendors to improve hardware and software (MCS, controllers) capability if needed. Collaborate and closely partner with fab organization to implement AMHS solutions. Work closely with the manufacturing (MFG) and Quality teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in automation processes. Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality. Operational support responsibility: Provide consistent support to operations by monitoring and maintaining automation systems. It is to ensure high uptime and reliability of automation tools and Automated Material Handling Systems. Monitor tool performance post-release to production, ensuring adherence to safety, quality and operational standards. Conduct regular maintenance of automation tools to ensure long-team performance and reliability. Perform troubleshooting and repairs of automation tools, including OHT, OHB, Stocker, Sorters, Vision systems, and traceability solutions, focusing on both hardware and software issues. Collaborate with the IT team to resolve automation system issues effectively and in a timely manner. Participate in shift pass-down meetings and provide detailed reports or feedback on issues to the production and engineering teams. Implement 6S practices and manage spare parts inventory to support seamless operations. Share “lessons learned” with the production and engineering teams to improve line issues resolution and system optimization.Essential Attributes Willing to learn AMHS standard, layout design, execute operation support, work on CIP (Continuous Improvement Plan) and conduct quality check. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing automation systems. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively. A proactive approach to identifying root causes and implementing long-team solutions. Excellent teamwork skills to work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams. Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to cross-functional teams. Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, tools, and systems in automation. Adapt to dynamic manufacturing environments and evolving processes. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Practical problem- solving abilities during production-critical situations. Ability to remain composed under pressure, especially during system failures or production issues.Qualifications BE Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Desired Experience Level 2 to 7yrs, Experience in adjusting, testing and commissioning of Daifuku or Muratec AMHS is a plus.
